Here are some of our favorite day trips from Sedona.
30-minute drive. Verde Valley is the home to many Arizona wineries – 17 to be exact. There are so many wine tours and tastings that the name has been coined Verde Valley Wine Trail. Verde Valley has the least tourists amongst our recommended day trips.
40-minute drive. Jerome is known for being a ghost town and for its wineries. You can check out historic tours, haunted hotel tours, and wine tours at the Tours of Jerome website. The tours range from 1.5 hours to 5 hours. The 5-hour historic tour is $125/person. The 5-hour haunted tour is $110/person. The 4.5-hour winery tour is $150/person, tastings included. The wineries include Pillsbury Wine Company or Arizona Stronghold, Page Springs Cellars, and Oak Creek Vineyards.
50-minute drive. Visit Flagstaff if you want to ski for the day. The Arizona Snowbowl has much more than just skiing though. During the summers, you can play disc golf, tubing, trampoline, ropes course, barrel rolling, and so much more!
