Spring is one of the busier times to visit Sedona, and it’s easy to see why. The weather is incredible during this season. With temperature highs ranging from the high 60s to the mid–70s, you and your family can make the most of our beautiful outdoor oasis. Of course, the wonderful weather and bounty of outdoor activities mean that this is one of the more crowded times to visit Sedona, so you will most likely be plenty of other visitors on the trails and at main attractions in the area.
Summer is definitely the hottest time to be in Sedona. Temperatures peak in the mid to high 90s in June, July, and August. The sun can be quite potent this time of the year, but you can still find plenty of fun ways to cool off here! Slide Rock State Park is home to a fantastic swimming hole that’s perfect for families. If you’re searching for the best time to visit Sedona with little crowds, winter is the time to travel. Outside of Christmas, this is the offseason for the area. Temperatures are relatively mild for the winter season, with daily averages in the high 40s and mid–50s, meaning you can still get outside and hike. Take advantage of the smaller crowds and visit one of the seven vortexes or the unique art galleries in the main downtown area.
